# Pre-Bid CRN Checklist for Indian Exporters
**Kopfkino India**: run this before you submit a quote on a Canadian order.

CRN obligations are far cheaper to plan for at bid stage than to discover after award. Use this list when a Canadian PO or tender mentions "CRN", "CSA B51", "registered design", or a provincial authority.

- [ ] Does the spec explicitly require a CRN? (Search the tender for: CRN, CSA B51, registration, TSSA/ABSA/TSBC/RBQ/TSASK.)
- [ ] Which Canadian province(s) will the equipment operate in?
- [ ] How many pressure-retaining components are in scope? (Skids contain several.)
- [ ] What is the governing construction code? (ASME VIII Div.1/2, B31.3, Section I/IV.)
- [ ] Do you already hold a CRN for an identical/similar design? (Reuse saves cost.)
- [ ] Will you need single-province or national (multi-province) registration?
- [ ] Have you budgeted BOTH engineering fees AND regulator pass-through fees?
- [ ] Have you allowed time for design registration in the project schedule?
- [ ] Is your QC certificate current and scope-appropriate?
- [ ] Have you priced the CRN work into your bid (or flagged it as a separate line)?

**Rule of thumb:** if it retains pressure above 15 psig and operates in Canada, assume it needs a CRN until proven otherwise.
