CRN registration cost & timeline
CRN registration cost has two parts: engineering fees (the P.Eng. review, calculations and submission) and regulator fees (paid to the provincial authority). With Kopfkino India, engineering fees are fixed-fee and quoted in INR, with regulator fees passed through at cost. Timeline depends mostly on how complete your documents are, not on the regulator.
What drives the cost
- Equipment complexity: a simple air receiver is far cheaper than a Div.2 separator.
- Number of jurisdictions: single-province vs national multi-province.
- Document readiness: complete drawings & calcs cost less than starting from scratch.
- Governing code: ASME VIII Div.2 and piping stress analysis add engineering hours.
- Quantity: registering several similar designs together is more efficient than one at a time.
How long does it take?
Our engineering turnaround is 5 business days standard, with a 2-day rush option. The regulator's own review time varies by authority and workload. The biggest variable is documentation: a clean, complete package sails through; a package with gaps bounces back through multiple review cycles. That is why we review everything up front and tell you what is missing before we start.
