Pressure Vessels CRN questions

Do you need a separate CRN for each Canadian province? +

CRNs are issued province-by-province. If your vessel will be used in only one province, you register there. If it ships to several, you can register through a national pathway (e.g. TSSA National) so the first province's review is recognized by others under the CRN reconciliation agreement. We map this for you before quoting.

Your vessel already has an ASME U-Stamp. Is that not enough for Canada? +

No. The ASME U-Stamp certifies fabrication; the CRN is a separate design registration that the provincial authority requires before the vessel can be legally operated in Canada. A U-Stamp helps but does not replace the CRN.

Can you work from our existing drawings and calculations? +

Yes, that is the fastest path. We review what you have, complete any missing calculations to the governing ASME code, and a Canadian P.Eng. reviews and authenticates the package. We tell you up front exactly which documents are missing.
