Documents needed for CRN registration
To register pressure equipment in Canada you generally need: drawings, a design data sheet, design calculations, material specifications, and a valid QC certificate, plus a statutory declaration for certain provinces or fitting categories. Missing or non-conforming documents are the most common cause of registration delays.
General-arrangement & detail drawings
Dimensioned drawings showing the pressure boundary, nozzles, supports and welds.
Design data sheet
Design pressure & temperature, MDMT, fluid/service, corrosion allowance, joint efficiency.
Design calculations
To the governing code (ASME VIII, B31.3, etc.). We complete or normalize these.
Material specifications & certificates
Grades for plate, forgings, bolting, verified against ASME Section II.
Quality-control (QC) program certificate
Your QMS / authorization evidence; reviewed for the acceptance pathway.
Welding documentation
WPS/PQR references where applicable.
Statutory declaration
Declaration of compliance, where the province/category requires it.
